Hypnosis and Hypnotherapy

Hypnosis is a relaxed and altered  state of consciousness  as well as guided daydreaming. This state of consciousness may help you make changes from negative thoughts and behaviours that affect your life to more positive life enhancing changes. Hypnosis helps to release limiting beliefs and establish selective thinking. Remember, it is your thoughts that affect how you feel and behave so change the way you think and change your life.

Whilst in this deeply relaxed state the subconscious mind is more receptive and accepts changes more readily. This is a safe and highly effective way of changing negative thoughts and behaviour patterns.

Two particular types of therapy are Positive Suggestions and Analytical Therapy.

Suggestion based therapy allows the subconscious mind to accept positive suggestions as the new preferred behaviour to bring about positive change. This is ideal for helping people cope with such things as exam nerves, confidence issues, stop smoking, nail biting and other unwanted habits. Suggestion therapy usually requires between 1 to 4 sessions. Hypnotherapy utilises strategies that when combined with hypnosis and positive suggestions becomes a very powerful tool in helping to change unwanted attitudes and behaviours. At no time will you “cluck like a duck”, say anything inappropriate, be unable to “wake up” or not hear what is being said. You are in control at all times. There is no “magic wand” - only good rapport, teamwork and personal motivation to achieve your goals. You can achieve whatever you want , simply and easily, if your goals are realistic and you are a willing participant in your therapy.

Cognitive Behaviour Therapy

Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) is used to treat a range of psychological and behavioural disorders such as: Anxiety/Depression/Drug addiction/eating disorders/sleep disorders/phobias and stress.

CBT enables the client to use techniques that may change the way they think and feel, to change existing behaviours that are unwelcome and to break away from restrictive and damaging patterns that may have kept them in unhappy situations for years.

Individuals with urgent medical problems are requested to seek advice from their physician or from an appropriate health care professional before requesting hypnotherapy.

we are challenged to change ourselves." Victor Frankl
